The Password Depot add on for the new Edge browser (Chromium) will be available shortly. However, you can already install the beta version of this add on without any concerns.
Download beta version of the Edge add on as of 12 February 2020
In order to install the add on for the new Edge browser, please proceed as follows:
In the menu tab at the top edge of the browser window click on Extensions:
Switch to Developer mode afterwards:
Now, click on Load unpacked and search for the unzipped add on folder:
Select the entire unzipped folder and afterwards click on Select Folder button:
The Edge add on has been installed successfully if you see this next:
If you see the blue Password Depot icon at the top on the right in your browser window installation has been successful:
Thanks for this, it works.
However, I have to re-type my "Depot to browser" password once every day. I do not have to do this when using Chrome. Any ideas why the password is not saved permanently in New Edge?
Thank you for your feedback!
Could you please describe the issue a bit more in detail? Which password do you mean?
Sorry for being unclear. Let me try to clarify:
It's the password you can define in Password Depots Options -> Browser -> ☑ Protect access with a password
When you later open the browser and navigate to the first site that needs credentials, the browser plugin (the one described here in this article) will prompt for this password so it can communicate to Password Depot. It used to "stick" but in MS Edge (chromium) I have to re-type it every day.
Thank you for the additional information! We will investigate this issue as described above and will get back to you as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience!
Unfortunately, we haven't been able to reproduce the problem so far. Would you mind provide some more information about this issue, maybe also send screenshots showing the problem, if possible?
Sure, I will open a support request to do that.
