How can I create the DefSettings.ini configuration file?

You can create the configuration file DefSettings.ini by inserting the entries listed below into a new, empty text file, assigning the values as desired and then saving it as a plain text file named DefSettings.ini. You only need to insert those options into your ini file that you actually need. Furthermore, please make sure that your DefSettings.ini file starts with the string "[Options]".

The DefSettings.ini file is required if the administrator of Password Depot Enterprise Server would like to pre-define default values concerning the client's program options.

Hint: Changes, such as defining a specific server, port number, language etc., are only applied effectively after reinstalling the client or, if you set the parameters in the DefSettings.ini file, after deleting the client's config file from

C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\AceBIT\Password Depot 17.
