Update available but not installing

I am running version 18.0.4 and although I have the settings set so PD will download and install any update automatically it doesn't.
When I go to Help > Search for updates I see that a new version is available 18.0.5
Clicking the Download button downloads it but clicking install doesn't. Although Windows gives me the warning that PD wants to install it, I accept and PD closes and opens up again for me to fill in my masterpassword.
But it just doesn't install the update. It's still on 18.0.4.
So how do I get the update?

Password Depot is not able to install updates itself without execution by the user. The program can only download the update and offer it to install via notification:
Please try to download and manually install the update:
https://www.password-depot.de/en/download/download.htm
Simply run the .exe file after downloading and install the new version.
