Password Depot for private users: licenses, costs and ordering

If you, as a private Windows user, would like to use all Password Depot functions permanently, you must license the Password Depot Edition for Windows. A license costs EUR 99.95 when ordered and is valid for life, even if you do not upgrade this license.

Every person who wants to work with the Windows version of Password Depot needs their own license. Another license is only required if another person in a household wants to work with Password Depot. This person would then have to acquire their own license.

Each user can install their license on an unlimited number of devices. So, if you purchase a Password Depot 17 license you can install and use it on 10 computers, for example.

The editions for macOS, Android and iOS are free and do not need to be licensed. In addition to your Windows version, you can use this on any number of devices.

Password Depot - test first, buy later!

Before placing an order, you can test Password Depot with all functions and use it as a full version for 30 days.

Once the 30 days expire, you have two options:
- Acquire a release code to continue using the full version of the program
- Continue to use the program, but in freeware mode (max. 20 passwords per database)

What is the difference between upgrades & updates?

So-called "upgrades" - the change from one main version to another, for example from Password Depot 16 to 17 - are always optional and not a must. You can decide for yourself whether you want to upgrade to a new main version or not. If you decide to upgrade, you can get it at a preferential price of 79.95 euros. The upgrades can be ordered here.

There are no costs for updates within a major version - for example from version 17.0.0 to 17.0.1. An overview of the new functions and improvements in the upgrades and updates is available here. A Password Depot license that has been purchased once is valid for a lifetime and can therefore continue to be used without any time limit, even when a new major version is released. There are also no annual follow-up costs.
