Changed prices with Password Depot 16

With version 16, the Password Depot prices for a new license change to EUR 99.95 or an upgrade to EUR 79.95.

We are aware that this price increase may seem too high at first - therefore we would like to explain in the following exactly why this price increase occurred:

  • The prices for new Password Depot licenses and upgrades have not changed for many years and have always been at a low level.
  • We have invested a lot of time and money in security tests and certifications in order to guarantee the highest level of security. This is also evidenced by the award from SySS GmbH, which we received in April 2021 and which you can read here: SySS GmbH award.
  • As of version 16, a license may be installed on any number of computers of a user according to licensing terms. Up to and including version 15, a license could be installed on a maximum of two computers. A user with, for example, 10 computers thus previously required five licenses.
  • The last paid version for private customers appeared on August 10, 2020 - no further costs have been incurred since then.
  • In contrast to other providers, we do not have a subscription model, which means that our prices are one-time and you only pay when you order a new license or an upgrade. With the purchase of a license, you acquire security software, the main version of which you can use for a lifetime without restrictions. There are no monthly costs. There is NOT an upgrade requirement.
  • You do not have to purchase every major version for a fee in order to continue working with the program. Even if you suspend one or more major versions, you can always purchase the current major version at the upgrade price and benefit from the upgrade price.
  • Our editions for Android, macOS and iOS are free - you can install and use them on any number of devices without incurring additional costs. All of our editions offer the same security standard, so you can be sure that your data will be stored and used highly encrypted on all your devices.
  • Our support - by email as well as by phone - is individually tailored to each customer and free of charge. You will always receive immediate help and support from us in solving individual problems.
  • We are aware that there are many free solutions, but our focus is clearly on users who value the highest security and service requirements, which we would like to offer our customers.
