- Launch Password Depot and open the database of which the authentication method should be changed.
- In the menu, go to Database and select the option Database Properties.
- In the General tab, go to the Authentication section and click the Change button.
- Next, please enter your current access data first and afterwards click "Next". A new dialog window opens. You can now select another authentication and create a new master password and/or key file.
Note: If, during this process, you receive an error and thus cannot save the new authentication we recommend a database cleanup as described in the article below:
