If you are trying to install an update of the Password Depot Windows client but installation fails, please be aware of the following:
Try to reboot the machine first and afterwards run Password Depot installer again.
If this step does not work or if you are not supposed to reboot the machine, please note the following:
This issue occurs because we have disabled the possibility to kill applications during installation. In fact, three applications could prevent the installer from proper installing:
a) Windows Explorer (because of shell extensions)
b) Internet Explorer (because of IE add ons)
c) Password Depot itself if it is running during installation
Before changing this behaviour, the installer prompted to stop those apps and reinstall them afterwards. However, now, if the installer can't replace them, it wants to reboot the machine.
